Welcome fellow moms and friends,

I thought I would create a personal site for others to get to know a little more about me and what I do.

I became a stay at home mom when I was six months pregnant with my first son. Previously, I was teaching elementary school and doing some social work for nearly ten years. After what seemed like a long pregnancy our bundle of joy finally arrived in June 2004. Finding myself with some extra time while baby napped allowed me to start a hobby, so I decided to start my own parenting resource site.

During my pregnancy I was always searching the Internet far and wide for parenting ideas, tools and resources that would help us as new parents. Because it involved so much time to find these resources, I thought I would create a site with parenting resources, parenting articles, stories, tips, shopping, recipes, support, free sites and more all in one place; providing the busy parent with one site to help with all of their needs, including a support forum and a place to create their family website.

It wasn't until November of 2005 I started seeking business opportunities that I could add to my site to help with our finances that I decided to open my own
apparel and gift store designing t-shirts, hats, mugs and more for family and friends. I then began promoting my business and my sites online, and continue to do so today.

Since then, I have also become an independent consultant for several direct sales companies. The great thing about each of these companies is that most are free to startup or have low startup costs, making it a great opportunity for the sahm on a limited budget.

The companies I represent or am affiliated with include: Appleberry Market, Noah's Ark Stuff-A-Friend, MakesParties. I know it sounds like a lot, but I couldn't resist representing each of these companies because of the low and free startup costs, along with the great product selection and prices. I am now able to offer my family, friends and other customers a wide selection of products from stuffed animal kits to personalized and customized apparel and gifts, home decor, gift baskets, accessories and all occasion party supplies. I do not need to worry about keeping an inventory and purchasing wholesale merchandise. I am also not responsible for the shipping and taxes involved in shipping these products. I can offer my customers personal discounts and purchase the products for them as well.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a representative for any of these companies feel free to contact me or signup on my sites. If there is something you need or would like to purchase at a discount, contact me for that as well.

After taking almost a year off in 2007 to give birth to our second son, in 2008 I launched a new project to reach out to women. The site is MamasTimeOut, which offers a social network and live support call in show for moms of all ages and stages, featuring guest speakers regarding motherhood/parenting topics. If you would like to be a guest speaker please contact me with your bio, topic idea and contact info at admin@mamastimeout.com with guest speaker in the subject field. I look forward to hearing from you!
